TROUBLE-SHOOTING:
CAUSE
– Carburettor problems
– Deposits or dirt in fuel
– Fault in ignition system
– Speed too high for cutting height
– Cutting deck not parallel to ground
– Blades fault
– Blades unbalanced
– Fastenings are loose
THE MACHINE DOES NOT REMAIN IN NEUTRAL
Adjust the device (fig. 19) by loosening the counter-nut and acting on the central screws.
ENDING WORK
After mowing, disengage the blade and drive back to base with the cutting deck in the highest position.
To stop, leave the travel lever to the STOP position (2, fig. 2), set the throttle lever on the STOP position (fig.2
n°10), switch off the engine.
STORAGE AND PROLONGED PERIODS OF DISUSE
Store the mower in a dry place, away from atmospheric agents, and preferably cover with a sheet, and follow the
instructions given in the engine manual. Also lubricate all of the articulated joints.
Engines stored over 30 days need to be protected or drained of fuel to prevent gum from forming in fuel system
or on essential carburettor parts. For engine protection, we recommended use of Briggs&Stratton Fuel Stabi-
lizer available from an Authorized Briggs&Stratton Service Dealer. Mix stabilizer with fuel in fuel tank or storage
container. Run engine for a short time to circulate stabilizer through carburettor. Engine and fuel can be stored
up to 24 months.
Note: if stabilizer is not used or if engine is operating on gasoline containing alcohol, e.g. gasohol, remove all
fuel from tank and run engine until it stops from lack of fuel.
