Setting instructions
Winding and time setting:
The winding, time-setting and correction crown (I) can be placed in
three positions A, B or C.
A: Pushed down against the case, winding position.
This is the normal position when the watch is being worn and
guarantees the best water-resistance.
If the watch has not been worn for some time, wind it by rotating
the winding, time-setting and correction crown (I) through several
turns.
It is unnecessary to fully wind a watch that is going to be worn. The
winding, time-setting and correction crown (I) will not be locked at
the end of the winding cycle; the mechanism therefore cannot be
damaged.
B: Setting the reference time-zone.
When the winding, time-setting and correction crown (I) is pulled
out in this position, the reference time-zone can be changed by
turning the crown anticlockwise.
The map of the Northern Hemisphere and the city list (4), the day/
night glass (5), the 24-hour disc (6) and the hour and minute hands
(1 and 2) turn together.
Align the city of your choice with the reference time-zone index (7)
then push the winding, time-setting and correction crown (I) back
to position A.

Notes:
– During this adjustment, simply ensure that your chosen city
marker (triangle or dot) is opposite the reference time-zone
index (7). The hour and minute hands (1 and 2) are synchronised
automatically.
– There is no risk in turning the winding, time-setting and
correction crown (I) clockwise.
– There is no risk of damage if the adjustment is stopped without
the reference time-zone index (7) pointing to a reference city
(triangle or dot). However the hour and minute hands (1 and 2)
will no longer turn and will remain in place despite operation of
the movement and even when setting the time with the winding,
time-setting and correction crown (I) in position C. For the hour
and minute hands (1 and 2) to turn again normally, you must
return the winding, time-setting and correction crown (I) to
position B and finish setting the time. (The time during which the
hands did not turn will not automatically be made good and it
may be necessary to reset the time).
– If the watch showed the correct time in the initial time-zone, it
will automatically show the correct time in the new reference
time-zone.
– Time-zones are adjusted in relation to legal time, which is
winter time. (Summer time differs according to country and
hemisphere).
