lanyard.

dismantled beforehand or if components have been
replaced.

6. Installation
Wherever possible, the structural anchor point will be
located at a height between 1.5 and 2 meters above
the operator's feet. The structural anchor must have a
minimum tensile strength of 10 kN.
The connection to the anchoring point or to the structure
must be done using an EN 362 connector.
For connection of the fall arrest system to the fall arrest
harness, please refer to the harness and fall arrest
instructions to use the correct attachment point and the
right method to attach it.
Do not use the lanyard to form a sliding knot.
CAUTION
Before and during use, it is necessary to plan out how
possible rescue can be effi ciently and safely conducted,
within less than 15 minutes. Beyond this time, the
operator is in danger.

• Elastic strap: polyamide and rubber,
• Braided polyamide rope: ∅ 9 mm to ∅ 14 mm,
• Stranded polyamide rope: ∅ 12 mm to ∅ 16 mm.

• If a lanyard becomes dirty, wash it in clean cold water,
possibly with a detergent for delicate fabrics, using a
synthetic-fi ber brush.
• When the lanyard becomes wet, either during use or
washing, leave it to dry naturally in the shade and away
from all sources of heat.
• During transport and storage, protect the equipment
against damage (sharp edges, sources of direct heat,
chemical products, UV radiation, ...).

The label on each lanyard indicates:
a : the trade name: Tractel
,
®
b : the name of the product : eg : LC 1.5 – 10 –10 (Longe
Corde),
c : the reference standard followed by the year of
application,
d : the product reference: eg: 010642,
e : the CE/EC logo followed by the 0082 number,
identifi caion number of the approved body responsible
for production control,
f : year and week of manufacture,
g : the serial number;
h : a pictogram showing that the manual must be read
before use.
r : maximum length of the lanyard with connectors,
w : maximum operating load.

An annual periodical inspection is required, but depending
on the frequency of use, environmental conditions and
regulations of the company or the country of use, periodical
inspections may be more frequent.
Periodical inspections shall be carried out by an approved
and competent technician and in accordance with the
