9.5 Walking Calibration
Click on:

to select the Walking Calibration screen.
Note:
For earlier versions of the Elan the screen will be
slightly different See Section 15.

Walking Calibration procedure:
1 Move the slider to select the amputation level,
Transfemoral TF or Transtibial TT

2 Start Calibration

To calibrate the Elan to the user's
individual gait characteristics instruct the
user to walk on a horizontal, level surface
and at a comfortable pace.
After several steps, click on:
Start calibration

The step counter counts down the
number of remaining steps required.
(Note: 8-10 uninterrupted, regular
steps on level ground are required for
calibration).

Calibration may be repeated
at any time to fine tune the
set-up and is recommended
after any change in
alignment and/or basic
resistance settings.

The Elan adapts to the individual
user's gait characteristics from the
Calibration stages.
(See Section 3 for more
information)
Factory Reset:
Should it be necessary to begin a
completely new set-up for the Elan,
Caution:
D Clicking on [Factory Reset] will
delete all the Dynamic Alignment
adjustment and any walking
calibration data stored in the Elan.
E Click on
If this option is chosen return to
Section 9.4 to begin set-up.
