Tray stackers
Operation
Adjusting the stacking platform
Adjusting the springs to the desired dispensing height
43.3004.1
Before beginning work always check whether the stacker to be employed is
correctly set for the trays being used.
The following should be checked separately:
•
whether the trays are suitable,
•
the dispensing or removal height, so that personnel cannot be injured or
trapped.
When changing at least one of the following parameters adaptation of the
stacker is basically necessary: diameter or edge length, height H
height H
and weight.
11
The dispensing height must be adapted to the trays being used before the
stacker is loaded. The dispensing height must be adjusted so that the top
trays are continuously moved upwards at a constant dispensing height be-
tween 3 and 5 cm above the top edge of the casing for the entire cycle.
•
If trays are dispensed at a greater height than this, accidents and injuries
can be caused by the column tipping over.
•
If the level falls below the dispensing height, injuries to the fingers due to
squashing can occur when removing plates.
Step 1 – Checking the spring setting
•
In order to test the dispensing height 15 to 20 trays per stack are placed on
the platform.
•
Wait for a reaction.
•
If the removal height of the trays is about 4 cm above the top edge of the
stacker the spring system is set correctly.
•
If the column only drops a little or not at all, the serving height must be al-
tered by altering the spring setting.
Step 2 – Altering the spring setting
The dispensing height is set/altered by inserting or releasing tension springs
on the 2 attachment bars. In the case of model TAG-1/53-37 the springs are
arranged in groups of 6 each having 5 strong basic springs
+
adjusting spring
and in model TA-2/53-37 in groups of 11 each having 10
strong basic springs
and 1 weaker adjusting spring
•
If the dispensing height is too high, setting springs must be released.
•
If the dispensing height is too low, setting springs must be inserted.
•
Since the stacker is designed for maximum load-bearing capacity, the
spring system provided on the stacker is entirely adequate for all commer-
cially available trays. In rare cases the spring system provided may not be
adequate and additional springs must be used. Please find the part num-
bers in the Replacement Parts List on page 22.
