Establish Bluetooth
connection
Prerequisite:
®
–
Bluetooth
interface on the gas detector and on the Windows
device is activated.
–
A pairing was implemented between the gas detector and Windows
terminal device.
● Connect via PolySoft.
Entering a PIN is not necessary.
✓ After successful connection, the blue LED lights up continuously.
®
Gas detector and Windows
terminal device with PolySoft are connected.
4.2.2
Connecting via WirelessHART

WARNING
Risk of explosion!
In explosion-hazard areas, electrostatic discharge may cause a spark to ignite
on the antenna.
► Do not install the antenna in explosion-hazard areas subject to intense
electrostatic charging, for example, due to fast moving particles or
pneumatic transport of powders.
WARNING
Risk of explosion!
In explosion-hazard areas, electrostatic discharge may cause a spark to ignite
on the housing and sensing head.
► Do not install the gas detector in dust explosion-hazard areas subject to

5.1
Installing the gas detector - installation
without mounting accessories
The gas meter is installed vertically on a flat surface with the antenna facing
upwards.
For installation with mounting accessories, see corresponding assembly
instructions.
Prerequisites:
–
A suitable installation location is selected (see "Safety information", section
"Mechanical installation", page 38).
CAUTION
Risk of explosion!
The gas detector is not tested in environments with increased oxygen content
(> 21 % O
).
2
► Do not use the gas detector in environments with increased oxygen content.
Install the gas detector:
● Install the gas detector using the drilling template (see appendix "Drilling
template") and M6 (1/4") hexagon socket head cap screws.
5.2
Installing the antenna
1. Remove the cover cap from the antenna connector (Fig. A 4).
2. Screw the antenna into the connector and tighten it by hand.
5.3
Installing the remote antenna
1. Remove the protective cap for the antenna on the connection (Fig. A 4).
2. Screw antenna cable to connection and tighten hand-tight.
3. Select an installation location where a perfect signal transmission is
ensured. The antenna must point up vertically.
4. Attach the mounting bracket at the installation location of the remote
antenna.
5. Lay the antenna cable.
