Use for intended purpose

The TAURUS 4 CF processing tool must only be used for the purpose of setting solid and

semi-tubular rivets as described in these operating instructions.
Any other usage beyond what is stipulated here is expressly prohibited.
The machine may only be operated in spaces with an air temperature between -40° C and
55°C where the relative humidity between 20 and 100 ist at 100%. It is important to ensure
that the hall lighting in the operating area is sufficiently bright.

Safety information

• The processing tool must only be used for setting solid and semitubular rivets.
• Do not overload the processing tool; work within the prescribed work capacity.
• Do not insert fingers between the material to be joined and the rivet while working to
avoid the risk of chrushing.
• Do not use the processing tool as a hammer.
• Do not use the processing tool as a lever.
• Regularly check the compressed air lines to ensure they are fitted correctly and airtight.
• When carrying out maintenance work on the processing tool and when the tool is not in
use, it should always be disconnected from the compressed air network.
• When working with the processing tool, always wear protective goggles. Personal protec-
tive equipment such as protective clothing, gloves, safety helmet, non-slip footwear, ear
protection and fall arresting device is recommended.
• Do not exceed the permitted working pressure.
• When putting down the processing tool, make sure that it cannot fall.
• Repairs must be carried out only by skilled personnel. In case of doubt, always send in
the complete (not disassembled) blind rivet setting tool to the supplier or to GESIPA
• Dispose of the used hydraulic oil accordance with valid environmental protection regula-
tions.
Caution! The processing tool is not suitable for use in potentially explosive atmosphe-
res and is not insulated against contact with electrical voltage sources.
