2.4.7.3. Discrete I/O Option
This option board provides two isolated inputs and four dry-contact, normally open, relay outputs.
The inputs can be selected as either active or passive, depending on the position of the slide switch
indicated in Figure 2-36.
2.4.7.3.1. Discrete I/O Switch
A switch on the Discrete I/O board selects if the inputs will be active or passive. Ensure that the
switch is set properly before wiring to the inputs. The location of the switch and the active/passive
positioning are shown in Figure 2-37.
