6 Putting into operation

DANGER
Risk of injury due to unexpected start-up.
Improper operation can lead to serious injuries that could result in death.
For the entire duration of maintenance, servicing, dismounting and repair work, the following
instructions must be adhered to:
• Switch off the power source.
• Close the gas supply.
• Close off the compressed air supply.
• Close off the coolant supply.
• Disconnect all electrical connections.
• Switch off the entire welding system.
NOTICE
• Please take note of the following instructions:

• Only qualified personnel are permitted to perform work on the device or system.
• For the correct attachment of the iSTM mount and the cable assembly, set the 4th, 5th and
6th axes of the robot as follows:
4th axis = neutral position, 5th axis = inclined by 10°, 6th axis = neutral position
This chapter gives you all the information that must be taken into account when putting the iSTM
into operation.
