iSTM mount

11 Dismounting
DANGER
Risk of injury due to unexpected start-up.
Improper operation can lead to serious injuries that could result in death.
For the entire duration of maintenance, servicing, dismounting and repair work, the following
instructions must be adhered to:
• Switch off the power source.
• Close the gas supply.
• Close off the compressed air supply.
• Close off the coolant supply.
• Disconnect all electrical connections.
• Switch off the entire welding system.
NOTICE
• Only qualified personnel are permitted to perform work on the device or system.
• Consult the documentation for the welding components.
• Observe the information given in section
 8 Putting out of operation on page EN-16.
1 Disconnect the cable assembly from the wire feeder.
2 Open the lock ring, unscrew the fastening screw.
 6.2.2 Mounting the cable assembly on the robot on page EN-11
3 Pull out the cable assembly.

Cause
• No grease on the O-rings of
the adapter
• The cable assembly adapter
is not correctly inserted into
the module
• Cable assembly too long
• Dirt deposits in the housing
• iSTM mount damaged
Solution
• Lubricate the O-rings with
grease
• Use the cable setting tool
• Align the guide groove
• Change the feeding system
positioning, if possible
• Remove dirt deposits and
clean the housing
• Seal if off with bellows
• Check by specialized
personnel
