7.1 Before switching on

1 Ensure that all threaded fittings are tight.
2 Replace any damaged, deformed or worn parts.
3 Ensure that all equipment parts are available and correctly positioned and secured.
4 Check that the electrode stroke functions correctly with contact ignition.
NOTICE
• The ABICUT 25K/45/75 cutting torches must only be operated by qualified personnel
(in Germany, see TRBS 1203).
• Please consult the operating instructions for the welding components, such as the welding
power source and the robot control unit.

7.2 Trigger guard and safety device

7.2.1 Trigger guard
The trigger can only be pressed if the trigger guard covering it is lifted.
7.2.2 Safety device
When the protective cap is mounted, two safety contacts are electrically connected. The pilot
arc can only be started if the wear parts are mounted.
There are two connection methods for the manual torch, which depend on the system:
Trigger and safety contacts in series connection
Trigger and safety contacts connected individually

Connection methods

7.3 Trigger with dual-cycle function (for manual torches only)

1 Lift the trigger guard.
 7.2.1 Trigger guard on page EN-11
2 1st cycle: press and hold the trigger on the handle – pilot arc starts.
3 2nd cycle: release the trigger – arc extinguishes.
