19.Disposal of the unit
In conformance with the norms for disposal of waste in individual countries and in respect of the envi-
ronment in which we live, we ask you to divide the various parts of the unit so as to allow them to be
disposed of separately or reused. All of the unit parts cannot be disposed of with solid urban waste with
the exception of the metallic parts which generally are not considered special waste for most European
countries. Materials used in construction of the units:
- Iron pipe:
- Copper, aluminum:
- Galvanized sheet metal:
- Polyurethane foam (R134a):
- Tempered glass:
- Wood:
- PVC
- Laminated plastic
N.B.All these operations as for transport and waste processing, should be performed by autho-
rised, specialised personnel only.
20.Helpful advice
It is recommended that the Installation and Use Manual be read carefully, so that the operator, in the
case of malfunction, is able to provide precise information to Technical Assistance by telephone.
Before carrying out any maintenance operation on a refrigeration unit, make sure that the
power supply has been turned off.
In the case in which the customer notes type of anomaly in unit performance, before contacting Custo-
mer Assistance, check the following items:
- Carry out all work operations with extreme attention (loading, unloading, cleaning, customer
sales, maintenance, etc.) and when performing various operations, always use the maximum
care and the necessary protective devices.
- use extreme care when carrying out all work operations (loading, unloading, cleaning, customer
sales, maintenance, etc.). Always use required safety devices (IPD) for the operations to be carried
out.
- make sure the temperature and ambient humidity values do not exceed those specified. Hence, it is
indispensable to always maintain the air-conditioning, ventilation, and heating systems in the sales
point at maximum efficiency.
- Limit airflow speed to less than 0.2 m/s in proximity to the unit's openings. Avoid that air currents and
the air conditioning system's air delivery openings are aimed towards the opening of the units.
- avoid direct exposure to sunlight for displayed merchandise.
- limit the temperature of radiating surfaces located in the sales point, e.g. insulating ceilings.
- do not use spotlights with incandescent bulbs aimed directly at the unit.
- avoid obstructing the air intake and delivery openings, even partially.
- only insert merchandise at a temperature that is normal for the cold chain, and make sure that the unit
is always able to maintain that temperature.
- respect the load limits, avoiding excessive loading of the unit.
- rotate food products by loading the cabinet in such a way that the goods displayed for longest are
sold before new arrivals.
- periodically check the operating temperature of the unit and that of the merchandise displayed (at
least twice per day, including weekends).
- in the case of a loss of electricity, close the unit using the night cover. If the loss of electricity is
