When mating a PT-37 Mechanized Plasma Torch to the ESP-50, an adapter kit must be used for connection.

The PT-37 Mechanized Plasma Torch ships with a 100 amp consumable set installed which must be removed
prior to cutting with the ESP-50.
For 50A operation install: baffle (0558008705), electrode (0558005220), nozzle (0558004878), retainer cup
(0558006600), and shield (0558006602).
For 30 and 40A operation install: baffle (0558008705), electrode (0558005220), nozzle (0558005218),
retainer cup (0558006600), and shield (0558006603).
Adjust ESP-50 output current to match selected
Remove all #10 screws and washers from brass
adaptor and save for installation step 4.
1. Remove power supply access panel cover
and disconnect the PT-35 torch from the ESP-
50.
2. Install brass adaptor (left-hand thread) into
power supply torch fitting. Tighten securely.
3. Installation of wiring harness adaptor -
Connect red pilot arc wire to pilot arc
connection using large wing nut. Tighten
securely.
4. Connect multi-wire power lug to brass
adaptor using supplied screw/lock washer.
Tighten securely.
5. Install the PT-37 torch hose and lead plug
through the power supply torch inlet.
• Push hose connection into quick-con-
nect fitting on brass adaptor until se-
curely connected.
• Plug torch wiring connector into adap-
tor connector until mating parts lock to-
gether.
6. Check all connections. Install power supply
access panel cover.
7. Set air pressure to 75 psig for first cut evalu-
ation. Reduce speed 20% from PT-37 condi-
tions. Adjust all parameters as cut perfor-
mance requires.
