2. Transmission oil
Place the tiller on a level surface and remove the oil filler cap.
The oil should be level with the lower edge of the oil filler hole.
Add oil same as the engine oil (see page 14) if the level is low.

3. Air cleaner
Open the engine upper cover, and remove the air cleaner cover (see page 41
and 42).
Check the air cleaner element to be sure it is clean and in good condition. Clean
or replace the element if necessary (see page 42).
CAUTION:
Never run the engine without the air cleaner. Rapid engine wear will result.
