d. Charge the batteries
CAUTION !
The batteries must be charged for 24 hours when the mobile handset is plugged in for the first
time.
Remove the batteries from mobile devices if you do not intend to use them for a long time (over
six months).
• Batteries
When the batteries are fully charged, the capacity is about 100 hours standby and 10 hours talk time (in normal
operating mode without using the hands-free mode). It takes about 14 hours to fully charge the batteries when
they are empty.
It takes 4-5 charging cycles for batteries to reach full capacity. Once the batteries are fully charged, the symbol
is displayed on the screen.
The handset has a charge controller, so that the batteries cannot be overcharged. Modern NiMH batteries have
virtually no memory effect and therefore have a long life, even when the batteries are only partially charged.
The handset comes with environmentally friendly nickel metal hybride (NiMH) batteries (2 x AAA 1.2 V). As with
all batteries, efficiency may decrease in time. Replace the batteries if you notice a significant decrease in standby
and talk time or if the batteries are defective.
• State of battery charge display
When the batteries are almost empty, the symbol
signal sounds. If the handset is not charged, the handset turns off automatically when voltage is too low, until it is
placed on the charging station again.
