b. Charging the batteries
Before using the MOBI for the first time, you must:
CHARGE THE BATTERIES FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS
• Batteries
When the batteries are fully charged, they provide approximately 72 hours of standby time and 8 hours of talk
time (in normal use, not using the hands-free mode). Charging the batteries when completely discharged takes
approximately 14 hours.
The batteries will reach their full capacity after 4-5 charging cycles. When the batteries are fully charged, the screen
will display .
The handset is equipped with a charge regulator to prevent the batteries from being overcharged. Modern NiMH
batteries do not suffer from the so-called memory effect and therefore have the advantage of a long lifespan even
when the batteries are only partially recharged.
The handset is equipped with eco-friendly (2 x AAA 1.2 V) nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries. As is the case
with all batteries, performance may drop off over time. If you notice that the standby and talk times have reduced
significantly or that the batteries are faulty, you should replace them.
WARNING!
When the mobile handset is connected for the first time, the batteries must be charged for 24 hours. Avoid leaving
the batteries in the mobile devices if you are not going to use them for an extended period of time (i.e. over six
months).
Only use original batteries. The warranty does not cover any damage caused by using other batteries.
•Battery charge state display
When the batteries need recharging, the
signal will be heard. If the mobile handset is not recharged, it will switch off automatically when the power level
becomes too low and will remain off until it is placed in the charger base.
c. Installing the intercom panel and electronic control box
The fixed assembly (outside part) of your wireless interphone consists of:
• a intercom panel (fig.1-5)
• an electronic control box (fig.1-8) containing the radio transceiver and batteries (not included)
• The electronic control box (fig.5-fig.6)
There are 1 x 6 conductor cable (E) and 2 wires leaving the box (F-V). The cable for connecting the intercom
panel must be passed through a hole going through the post (the post or wall must therefore be drilled) (fig. 5).
Warning: the intercom panel must be placed at a height of approximately 1.6 m.
The other 2 wires (F-V) (one red and one black) must then be connected to the electric lock or latch (fig. 10a).
WARNING: the red cable protector (V) (fig.6) must only be removed at the last minute (when connecting the
latch or lock).
When you have determined the ideal location:
1 • Remove the upper cover of the box by undoing the 6 crosshead screws (H) (fig. 6).
Warning: do not touch the electronic circuit directly and do not remove the red wire protector.
2 • Use the 2 screws to fix the box via the 2 holes (J) located at the top and bottom (fig. 9).
3 • Do not forget to pass the intercom panel connecting cable through the hole in the pillar before affixing the
box.
Warning: Under no circumstances should you install the batteries before you have completely finished the ins-
tallation.
