● Tilt the wiper by 180 .
● Loosen the thread and remove the leather cloth from the wiper.
● Use needle-nosed pliers to remove the wiper from the wiper arm.
● Attach the new wiper to the wiper arm and tilt it by 180

● Replace the O-ring on the wiper shaft and lubricate with

Molykote 111.
● Make sure that the sleeve (Figure H-2 on Page 3) is put on the
wiper arm, then position the wiper in the connection piece.
● Adjust the wiper shaft, then insert it in the wiper arm through the
connection piece.
NOTICE
If you are looking at the front of the facepiece, the flattened place
on the wiper shaft must point to the left.
● Put the clip on the connection piece until it audibly locks into place.
● Insert the button, push apart the spring, and lock it into the guide
slots.
● If fitted, adjust the drinking valve.
● Hook the cap into place on the button. If a drinking valve is fitted,
pull the cap over the drinking valve. Hook the cap into the visor
frame.
● If a drinking valve is fitted, pull the covering cap of the drinking
valve with the frame over the drinking valve, then mount it to the
cap.
● Mount the rotary knob, then fasten the three screws
(recommended torque: 0.44+0.03 ft lb/60+5 Ncm).
● Use Loctite 221 to secure the screw at the rotary knob.
● If fitted, put the covering cap on the drinking valve.
● Fasten the nose cup.If a drinking valve is fitted, mount the
mouthpiece.

Replacing the nose cup (Figure I on Page 3)
● If fitted, remove the mouthpiece.
● To remove, take hold of the nose cup at the tip of the nose, then
o pull it off the pin and out of the speech diaphragm groove.

● To fasten and center, place the tip of the nose of the nose cup on
the pin. Fit the ring of the nose cup into the groove in the speech
diaphragm, first at the bottom and then all around.
● If a drinking valve is fitted, mount the mouthpiece.
Replacing the connection piece
● If fitted, remove the mouthpiece.
● Remove the nose cup.
● If fitted, remove the covering cap of the drinking valve and
dismount it together with the frame.
● Loosen the screws (Figure F-1 on Page 3) and remove the rotary
knob (Figure H-6 on Page 3).
● Unhook the cap from the visor frame. If a drinking valve is fitted,
remove the cap from the connection piece by pulling it away from
the drinking valve.
The drinking valve remains in the connection piece.
● Swivel the drinking valve downwards by 180
the connection piece.
● Use a screw driver to pry open the clip (Figure A3-21 on Page 3),
then remove it. Make sure not to damage the facepiece body.
● Pull out the old connection piece.
● Align the new connection piece according to the center marks.
Align the wiper to the center of the visor. The wiper must point
towards the visor.
● Insert the connection piece so that it is form-fitting.
