Resistance to the permeation of
chemicals according to EN 943-2:2002
For European approval, the tests against the concentrated
chemicals listed below took place by means of complete
wetting/coverage of the test samples.
The classification for testing the resistance to the permeation
of chemicals is given in accordance with EN 943-1:2015 as
follows:
Class 1:
>10 minutes
Class 2:
>30 minutes
Class 3:
>60 minutes
Class 4:
>120 minutes
Class 5:
>240 minutes
Class 6:
>480 minutes
Based on the tests in accordance with section 5.2 of the
EN 943-2:2002, the following suit configurations are not
suitable for the continuous loading with chemicals where only
one permeation class <2 is reached.
The components of the chemical protective suit have been
tested for the chemicals listed below under laboratory
conditions. The chemical protective suit period of use can
depend on several factors, including the concentration and
state of matter of the contaminant and the ambient conditions.
