In the manual mode, each phase has to be selected
manually. The service is executed after all the param-
eters for a particular phase have been set. It is also pos-
sible to execute only a required service phase or more
than one service phase.
The default values of the parameters in each stage are
listed in the following table:
Service phase
Parameter
Recovery
Pressure increase time
Vacuum time
Vacuum
Vacuum hold time
Refrigerant oil quantity
Oil recharge
Delta oil quantity
UV dye recharge

Tab. 1:
Default values of parameters
The default value of the vacuum time (20 minutes) is a standard
*)
recommended value and is independent of the volume of the
refrigeration circuit in the vehicle A/C system. This value should
be used if the vehicle documentation does not specify an exact
vacuum time.
!
Use only new oil to replace the amount removed
during the recovery process. Used oil should be
discarded as per applicable federal, state and local
requirements.

R134a can only be filled into an A/C system that has
been vacuumed. The vacuum phase must, therefore,
be performed before R134a injection.
i
Always pay attention to the vehicle-specific info
before changing the quantity of oil and R134a.
i
Check the oil quantity calculation - delta or absolute
- before you proceed with the service. Selecting the
wrong oil quantity calculation might damage the ve-
hicle compressor. To change the oil quantity calcula-
tion, refer to chapter 4.8.1.
