Positive PID control (standard):
If the leading sign of the P portion is positive and the value drops
under the setpoint, the control will increase the pump speed until the
setpoint has been reached.
Negative PID control:
If the leading sign of the P portion is negative and the value drops
under the setpoint, the control will decrease the pump speed until the
setpoint has been reached.
Maintenance and repair only by qualified personnel
It is recommended to have the pump maintained and checked by
Salmson after-sales service.
DANGER! Danger to life!
When working on electrical equipment, there is a risk of a fatal
shock.
• Work on electrical equipment may only be done by electricians
approved by the local electricity supplier.
• Before working on electrical equipment, switch it off and prevent
it from being switched on again.
• Follow the installation and operating instructions for the pump,
level control device and other accessories.
DANGER! Risk of scalding!
Due to the high water temperatures or system pressures, high sur-
face temperatures can occur.
• In the case of high water temperatures and system pressures, allow
the pump to cool off before all work.
• Always wear protective clothing and gloves when working.
NOTE
For all installation work, the forked spacer (Fig. 6 Item 10) is urgently
required for setting the correct impeller position in the pump housing.
During the running-in period, a minor amount of dripping is to be
expected. Once in a while, however, a visual inspection is required.
If there is clearly detectable leakage, the seal is to be changed.
• Disconnect the system from the power and secure it against being
switched on.
• Close the shut-off valves in front of and behind the pump.
• Depressurise the pump by opening the bleed valve (Fig. 5 Item 1.31).
DANGER! Risk of scalding!
Due to high fluid temperatures there is a danger of scalding.
• If the fluid is hot, allow it to cool off before all work.
• Disconnect the motor if the cable for dismantling the motor is too
short.
• Disconnect the pressure measuring lines of the differential pressure
sensor.
• Dismantle the coupling protection (Fig. 5 Item 1.32.).
• Loosen the coupling screws of the coupling unit (Fig. 5 Item 1.41).
