9 | Servicing intervals
Any parts on the trailer that are not maintained, become worn, weakened or damaged can cause
serious accidents. Therefore, an initial service has to be carried out after 1,500 km and then a service
has to be carried out every 5,000 km. Moreover, as per §29 of the German Road Traffic Licensing
Regulations (StVZO) owners of trailers with a total permitted mass of ≤ 750 kg must regularly have
a general inspection carried out. The FOR-ONE Trailer has to undergo a general inspection after
36 months and then every 24 months (for trailers used commercially there is a general inspection
every 12 months).
After the initial service, have the following inspections carried out by a specialist workshop every
5,000 km in accordance with the following schedule:
• Function test of the lighting and inspection of the plus, cables and reflectors
• Inspection of the wheels for visible damage, concentricity, air pressure and age
• Inspection of the coupling for wear
• Inspection of the chassis for cracks, deformations and corrosion inhibitors
• Inspection of the wheel bearings for bearing play
