DISASSEMBLY AND CLEANING
Regardless of the amount of squeezed fruit, at least the squeezing area should be cleaned on a
daily basis.
In the case of juicing pomegranates, cleaning the squeezing zone after squeezing 50 kg of fruit
is recommended because of the high amount of waste that is produced.
1. The machine should be completely switched off before starting to disassemble the parts
and clean them. To do so, switch off the power switch at the top rear [Fig. 01] (do not
switch it off while it is squeezing, press STOP first and then switch off the power
switch).
2. Unplug the power cable [Fig. 02].
3. Remove the chutes or the bins to empty them and clean any residual waste [Fig. 03].
4. Turn one of the side handles on the squeezing tray to place it in the vertical position
[Fig. 04] and remove the side cover [Fig. 05].
5. Remove the front cover [Fig. 06]. To avoid surface wear, we do not recommend
cleaning it in the dishwasher.
6. Repeat step 4 on the other side to remove the other side cover.
7. Fit the blade guard so as to safely continue the disassembly and cleaning process [Fig.
07].
8. Unscrew the cup nuts and the ADAPT tray nuts [Fig. 08].
9. Remove the ADAPT tray by pulling it horizontally outwards [Fig. 09]. Then:
a. Remove the automatic filter [Fig. 10] and remove the axles and scraper [Fig.
11].
b. Remove the tap from the ADAPT tray by pressing the side clips and pulling
downwards so as to clean the inner tap area [Fig. 12].
10. Remove the squeezing block all together, consisting of the squeezing tray with balls,
blade and cups by pulling it horizontally outwards [Fig. 13].
11. Remove the balls from the squeezing tray [Fig. 14]. Depending on the model:
a. Z40 ONE: the balls are clipped onto the squeezing tray; release the clip to
remove the ball vertically.
b. Z40 / Z40 MULTIFRUIT: the balls are screwed onto the squeezing tray. Fully
unscrew them to remove them (depending on model or fruit to be squeezed,
there may be a washer under each ball that can also be removed for cleaning).
12. These components can be cleaned in the dishwasher or manually, but take special care
when cleaning the blade. It is very sharp and you could cut yourself. We recommend
fitting the blade guard once you have cleaned and dried it [Fig. 07].
13. Finally, clean the steel front of the machine using a damp cloth and soapy water.
Note:
References 210550 ADVANCED Tray seal and V0293B-1 nut GP, cannot be subjected to
temperatures over 40ºC, and consequently they should never be cleaned with hot water or in
the dishwasher. In the event of them deforming, they will not be covered by the guarantee.
In the event of inappropriate cleaning, the guarantee will be rendered void.
