2. Safety / 3. Transport, packaging and storage
The permissible ambient temperatures for third-party products can be seen from the
relevant approvals or data sheets. However, an impermissible heat backflow from the
process which can exceed the operating temperature of the transmitter or the case,
must be prevented through suitable heat insulation or a suitably long neck tube.

3. Transport, packaging and storage
3.1 Transport
Check the instrument for any damage that may have been caused.
In the event of any damage, do not commission the instrument and contact the
manufacturer immediately.
If the instrument is transported from a cold into a warm environment, the formation of
condensation may result in instrument malfunction. Prior to recommissioning, wait for
the instrument temperature and the room temperature to equalise.
3.2 Packaging and storage
Do not remove packaging until just before mounting (operation).
Keep the packaging as it will provide optimum protection during transport (e.g. change
in place of use, sending for repair).
Permissible conditions at the place of storage:
Storage temperature: -20 ... +80 °C [-4 ... +176 °F]
Humidity: 35 ... 85 % relative humidity (non-condensing)
