Pull the mains plug out of the mains socket.
Turn off the stopcock.
Place a flat drip tray (e.g. a baking tray) or a very absorbent cloth under the cover of the pump filter
(see Fig. V, shown in grey).
Open the pump filter cover (6) e.g. using a slotted screwdriver.
Turn the filter out slightly anticlockwise and remove it once the residual water has drained completely
(see Fig. V).
Remove any foreign objects from the pump filter and from the pump chamber.
Clean the filter under running water and using a soft brush.
Proceed in the reverse order to refit the filter. When inserting the filter, make sure that the guide nose on the
filter fits into the recess in the pump chamber.
Secure the pump filter cover (6).
17.5. Cleaning the water inlet valve
Clean the water inlet valve at least monthly. Disregarding this maintenance procedure will lead to the inlet
system becoming clogged.

Remove the water hose by unscrewing it from the washing machine water connection (7) (see Fig. W).
Clean the filter insert with a brush or small brush under running water (see Fig. X).
Reattach the water hose to the water tap.
