9.1. Removing the transit bolts
The transit bolts (8) must be removed before using the appliance for the first time. Faults that occur
as a result of operating the appliance with the transit bolts still in place are not covered by the
warranty.
 Unscrew the 4 transit bolts (8) using a 10 mm spanner (see Fig. E).
 Remove the transit bolts together with their bases from the rubber bushings.
 Cover the holes using the blind plugs supplied.
Keep the transit bolts (e.g. in case you need to transport the appliance elsewhere in future). Only
transport the washing machine with the transit bolts (8) fitted.
9.2. Setup and levelling
 Make sure that the appliance is installed on a stable, flat surface (see Fig. F) to ensure vibration-free
operation. The place of installation must be in the immediate vicinity of a drain and water connection as
well as a domestic power socket.
 Provide adequate space for the installation and prepare the installation site so that electricity and water
connections are properly available and easily accessible.
 Level the washing machine by turning the adjustable feet. Turn the adjustable foot to the right or left to
turn the adjustable foot in or out. Then screw the plastic ring all the way up to prevent the adjustable
foot from shifting (see Fig. G). After setting up and levelling the washing machine, check the stability by
pressing down on each corner of the machine to see if it moves.
 Only connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed mains socket if the water inlet and outlet
have been connected correctly (see next section).
 The mains plug (10) must remain easily accessible after installing the appliance (see Fig. H).
Never place cardboard, wood or similar materials under the appliance to compensate for any
unevenness in the floor.
When cleaning the floor in the area of the adjustable feet, take care not to change the setting of
the adjustable feet.
9.3. Connection to water supply
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Risk of damage to the appliance if installed incorrectly.
 Only use new and complete hoses including the necessary fittings. Replace used hoses
with new ones.
 The water hose including seals is located in the drum.
 The water pressure of the mains must be min. 0.1 MPa (1 bar), max. 1 MPa (10 bar).
 Only connect the washing machine to a cold water inlet. It is not suitable for hot water
connection.
 After connection, check that the hose is not twisted.
 After connecting the hose and valve, check for tightness.
 Check the condition of the water hose regularly.
 Screw the cuff with angled end of the water hose to the water connection (7) on the back of the washing
machine (see Fig. I).
 Connect to suitable cold water mains supply (main stopcock) with 3/4" threaded union (see Fig. J).
