Possible Cause(s)
Impeller is jammed
1. Moisture/condensation in
fuel, old fuel, or
improperly mixed fuel
2. Incorrect starting
procedures
3. Fuel tank is empty
4. Fuel tank is too full
5. Fouled spark plug
6. Primer bulb was not
pressed enough
7. Impeller threads are
stripped
1. Moisture/condensation in

2. Air filter is clogged
3. Cold engine
4. Fuel filter is clogged
5. Impeller is clogged

Incorrect fuel mixture
1. Moisture/condensation in
fuel, old fuel, or
improperly mixed fuel

Corrective Action
Remove the inlet cover. Clean impeller and diffuser. With
ignition switch in the off position, pull starter cord to insure
engine turns over. Use a strainer at the end of the inlet to
prevent large stones or debris from damaging pump.
1. Fill fuel tank with properly mixed fresh fuel/oil mixture
2. Follow Starting/Stopping Instructions
3. Fill fuel tank with properly mixed fuel
4. If tank is too full, it cannot properly vent
Partially drain tank back into container used for storing
gas/oil mix
5. Clean/gap or replace spark plug
6. Press primer bulb fully and slowly 10 times
7. Replace impeller. Use a strainer at the end of the inlet to
prevent large stones or debris from damaging pump
1. Fill fuel tank with properly mixed fresh fuel/oil mixture
2. Remove, clean and reinstall air filter
3. Allow engine to warm up for 1-2 minutes before SLOWLY
moving throttle to full throttle
4. Replace the fuel filter
5. Remove inlet cover. Clean impeller and diffuser
6. Replace impeller. Use a strainer at the end of the inlet to
prevent large stones or debris from damaging pump
1. Fill fuel tank with properly mixed fresh fuel/oil mixture
2. Remove, clean and reinstall air filter
3. Allow engine to warm up for 1-2 minutes before SLOWLY
moving throttle to full throttle
4. Replace the fuel filter
Use properly mixed fuel
1. Fill fuel tank with properly mixed fresh fuel/oil mixture
2. Remove, clean and reinstall air filter
3. Allow engine to warm up for 1-2 minutes before SLOWLY
moving throttle to full throttle
4. Replace the fuel filter
