5 Installation

5.1
Installing the scanner
NOTICE! Increased electromagnetic radiation.
Damage to the scanner.
– Ensure that the installation site is free of increased electromagnetic radiation.
NOTICE! Check the power of the USB cable.
Using two USB cables could result in lower performance.
– Connect the USB cables to two separate USB ports. The full bandwith is required for each USB
cable.
After setting up the scanner, follow these instructions on how to install it:
– Connect the scanner and PC to the USB ports using the supplied USB cables. If the USB cables
are too short, they can be extended with special active USB extensions. For appropriate
products, please contact Ivoclar Vivadent AG.
– Connect the power supply unit to the scanner and the mains using the power cable.

Installing the computer
– The computer's instruction manual is pre-installed on the operating system.
– Check the computer's minimum technical requirements (Windows 10 or higher) to ensure the
proper functioning of the scanner.
– Make sure that all drivers are up to date.
– Install the computer according to the computer manufacturer's installation instructions.

Installing the software
– For quick assistance, please have your access data ready before contacting our support. Our
support works with TeamViewer (www.teamviewer.com).
– Check the computer's minimum technical requirements (Windows 10 or higher) to ensure the
proper functioning of the scanner.
– Make sure that all drivers are up to date.
– Install the computer according to the computer manufacturer's installation instructions.
