Practical tips
Due to the natural circulation o the air in the appliance, there are di-
erent temperature zones in the rerigerator chamber.
•
The coldest area is directly above the vegetables drawers. Use this
area or all delicate and highly perishable ood e.g.:
- Fish, meat, poultry
- Sausage products, ready meals
- Dishes or baked goods containing eggs or cream
- Fresh dough, cake mixtures
- Pre-packed vegetable and other resh ood with a label stating it should
be kept at a temperature o approx 4
•
The warmest area is in the top section o the door. Use this or storing
butter and cheese.
Food that should not be stored in a rerigerator
•
Not all ood is suitable or storing in the rerigerator, particularly:
- Fruit and vegetables which are sensitive to cold, such as bananas,
avocado, papaya, passion ruit, aubergines, peppers, tomatoes and cu-
cumbers.
- Fruit which is not yet ripe
- Potatoes
Warning:
Example o storing the ood - see gure 12.
To achieve the most eective ood preservation or the longest possible
time and to avoid wasting any ood, position the products as shown in
Figure 12. In addition, this gure illustrates the layout o drawers, bas-
kets and shelves, which allows the most ecient use o energy.
Optimal temperature and storage conditions will extend product shel
lie and optimize electricity consumption. Optimal storage temperature
range should be stated on the ood product packaging.
