Installation

4.1 Installation
Before installing the transmitter, make sure that the location meets the requirements
as regards reliable sealing and strength. If pressure shocks or considerable pressure
fluctuations are expected in the process, we recommend that a pulsation damper be
used.
The types of installation described below are provided as typical examples. Depend-
ing on the system configuration, installation types may also differ from these.
WARNING
Protection against misuse of the measuring instrument:
You must take particular care to ensure that the materials selected for wetted parts
are suitable for the media used in the process. Failure to observe this precaution
may result in a risk of severe personal injury and pollution of the environment.
CAUTION
If surface temperatures exceed 70 °C, a guard must be fitted to prevent touching.
This guard must be designed to ensure the maximum permissible ambient temper-
ature at the transmitter is not exceeded.
CAUTION
The transmitter may only be used within the medium pressure limits and voltage
limits shown on the nameplate.
