4.4 TROUBLESHOOTING
Abnormality in Charging
Problem
When you recharge the
battery pack that has
already been charged,
the charging status lamp
(green) will light up.
Even if you insert the
battery pack, the charging
status lamp (green) will not
light up.
The charger enters a
protection standby state
during charging.
(The orange lamp blinks
slowly.)
Note
• Request repair if the following abnormality is found in the battery charger.
ー Even if you insert the power plug into an outlet, the charging status lamp will not light up.
ー When you insert the battery pack, the cooling fan does not start running.
ー Just after charging starts, the charging status lamp does not light up or blink. (Both the green and
orange lamps are not lit.)
ー Even in 1 hour or more after the "protection standby state" (orange: blinking slowly), the charger
will not enter a charging state "green: lit."
ー After the "charging state" (green: lit), even if the pack is charged for 1 hour or more, the charger
will not enter the "full charging completed state" (green: blinking fast).
EN
Possible cause
This is because it takes time to
detect a fully charged state.
There are some foreign bodies
on the contacts between the
battery charger and the battery
pack.
The battery pack temperature
has reached 60 °C (140 °F) or
above.
The battery pack temperature
has reached -10 °C (14 °F) or
below.
- 108 -
Action
After a while, it will enter a
full charging completed state
(green: blinking fast).
Remove the foreign bodies.
Charge it in a place with an
ambient temperature of 5 °C
(41 °F) to 40 °C (104 °F). If it is
being charged in a place with
5 °C (41 °F) to 40 °C (104 °F),
keep charging it as it is. If
the battery pack temperature
reaches the temperature
suitable for charging, charging
will start automatically.
