Use CASTROL Super TT or CASTROL 2T oil - or
another high-quality oil intended for 2-stroke high-
- speed engines.
Mix the fuel in a suitable container. If you use a plastic
container, it must have antistatic treatment. In order
to properly mix the fuel, shake the container well.
The lack of oil in the fuel mixture is the reason for
not recognizing the engine warranty in the event of a
malfunction.
! WARNING: Never use pure (unmixed) gasoline. This
will cause permanent engine damage and void your
manufacturer's warranty. Never use a fuel mixture
that is more than 60 days old.
! WARNING : If you use an oil other than the reco-
mmended oil, it must be a high-quality oil for air-coo-
led 2-stroke high-speed engines mixed in a ratio of
2 5:1. Do not use oil for 2-stroke engines, which has
a recommended mixing ratio of 100:1. If the cause of
engine damage is the use of the wrong oil, the pro-
duct warranty cannot be recognized.
Recommended fuels
Some common fuels are mixed with oxidizers
such as alcohol or ether mixtures to achieve air
cleanliness standards. Your ASIST engine is
designed to operate with gasoline intended for
automobiles, including oxygenated gasoline.
Chain and bar lubrication
Chain lubrication is automatic and we recommend
only high-quality oil for chain lubrication. Always fill
the oil tank when filling the fuel tank. If there is a
defect in the oil pump caused by the use of oil other
than that specified in this manual for lubricating the
chain, the claim will not be accepted.
USE AND OPERATION
Checking the engine before starting
! CAUTION: Never start or operate the saw without
the bar, chain, and chain brake properly installed.
Fill the fuel tank with the correct fuel mixture
Fill the oil tank with the correct oil for chain and bar
lubrication.
Make sure the chain brake is off before starting the
saw.
Make sure that there are no unauthorized persons or
animals within the range of the saw.
When starting, place the saw in a suitable place, hold
it firmly, while the chain must not touch any object.
Never start the chainsaw at the point of filling with
gasoline.
During a cold start:
Press the safety switch (11) and pull the gas lever
(19) upwards.
Keep the safety switch and the gas lever depressed
and fully pull out the choke (16).
Switch the START/STOP switch (10) to the upper
position to Operation (I).
Now place the chainsaw on the ground and insert
your foot into the hand hole. Take the holding yoke
with one hand.
With the other hand, pull the starter handle 3-4 times.
Pay attention to the movement of the chain.
Now the engine should start up in a few cycles.
Now give the gas a light once so that the choke jumps
to the „half position".
Now pull the trigger rope again 2-3 times. The ma-
chine should now run at full speed and remain ope-
rational.
Add gas again, the choke will now fully engage.
If the saw does not start, repeat the previous steps.
If the saw does not start, try it repeatedly
start, but without using the choke. (too many starting
attempts with the choke pulled out leads to carburetor
congestion).
CAUTION: The moving chain can cause serious
injuries!
WARNING! NEVER USE the saw without oil to lubri-
cate the chain!!!
