2. Disassemble the attachment tool.
3. Place the guard cover (10) on the tool
so that the open side faces the tool.
The recesses on the guard cover must
fit into the grid (22) on the tool, only
one position is possible.
4. Press the release lever of the guard
cover (21) towards the tool and turn
the guard cover (10) to the left into the
desired working position at the same
time.
The closed side of the guard cover
must always face the operator.
Adjust the guard cover (10) so that
any sparks or detached parts cannot
hit either the user or any bystanders.
Position the guard cover (10) so that
the sparks do not ignite any combust-
ible parts, including those in the sur-
roundings.
5. Readjust the position of the guard cov-
er if you find during use that it does not
provide optimum protection.
Removing the guard cover (Fig. B)
1. Pull out the device plug out of the
power outlet.
2. Disassemble the attachment tool.
3. Press the release lever underneath the
guard cover (21) towards the tool and
turn the guard cover (10) right until the
open side of the guard cover faces the
tool.
4. If the recesses on the guard cover
match the grid (22) on the tool, then
you can remove the guard cover (10)
upwards.

1. Pull out the device plug out of the
power outlet.
2. Disassemble the attachment tool.
3. Place the attachment (14) on the
guard cover (10) and turn the attach-
ment (14) until it audibly clicks into
place.

1. Pull out the device plug out of the

2. Disassemble the attachment tool.
3. Release one of the two locks (15) on
the attachment (14) by pushing the
lock (15) outwards.
4. Slide the released lock (15) over the
guard cover (10) until the attachment
is removed after half a turn.

attachment tools recommended by the
manufacturer.
• Cutting and grinding discs
• diameter: ≤ 125 mm
• Thickness: ≤ 6 mm
• Only use undamaged attachment tools.
Tools required
• Chuck key (17)
• The chuck key can be stowed in the
auxiliary handle (1), see detail pic-
ture.
Procedure (Fig. E)
1. Press and hold the spindle lock (12).
2. Turn the uptake spindle (20) until the
stop button holds the uptake spindle
in a fixed position. Keep pressing the
spindle lock (12).
3. Tighten the clamping nut (18) using the
chuck key (17). You can release the
spindle lock (12).
