Gas Control Valve and
Burner Orifice
Gas Control Valve
• The gas control is a single stage design valve. When 24
VAC is applied to the valve, it will opens and delivers full
gas output.
• The gas control valve has a manual shut off feature
incorporated into the valve assembly. Ensure the
indicator is turned to the ON position. See Fig. 15.

• Do not exceed the maximum inlet supply pressure stated
on the heater nameplate or manufacturer's
recommended inlet supply pressure. Doing so will
damage the gas control valve.
Lower Gas Control Valve
1. Disconnect the pipe nipple from the gas control valve
inlet.
2. Open burner end door.
3. Disconnect the CSST tube from the flare adapter of the
3/4 in. pipe.
4. Remove the two sheet metal screws securing the gas
control bracket to the base.
5. Disconnect control valve's electrical wiring. See. Fig.
16.
6. Remove the burner retaining bolt from under the base.
See Fig. 17.
7. Tip the gas valve assembly up and maneuver the
assembly out of the burner casting. See Fig. 18.
