Storage
General storage instructions
Never store the device with
the grass collection box full.
If the weather is too hot, the
grass will begin to ferment un-
der heat. Possible fire hazard.
• Clean and maintain the device prior to
storage.
• Give the engine time to cool off before
you store the device in an enclosed space.
• Use suitable, permissible containers for
storing the fuel.
• Store the device in a dry and dustproof
location and out of reach of children.
• Do not enclose the device in nylon
sacks as this may cause moisture or
mould to form.
Folding up the device
Fold down the handlebar to save space
when storing.

when you do this.
Storage during winter
Failure to follow the storage instructions
may leave fuel remnants in the carbu-
rettor, which in turn can cause start-up
problems or permanent damage.

it goes out due to a lack of petrol.
• Perform an oil change (see "Changing
the engine oil").
• Preserve the engine:
- Remove the spark plug (
"Cleaning and servicing");
- Fill a tablespoon of engine oil into

spark plug opening;
- Slowly pull the starter cable (

side the engine;
Screw the spark plug (
• Dispose of used oil and petrol residues in
an environmentally-responsible way (see

The petrol tank does not have to be
emptied if you add a fuel additive
to the petrol (see "Spare parts").
Transport
When it is being transported, the de-
vice must be switched off and the spark
plug connector

Wear gloves when transporting the
device and avoid coming into contact
with dangerous parts when transporting
it (e.g. hot engine, blades).
Stay at a safe distance from others when
transporting the device.
Do not transport the device upside
down and do not tilt it as otherwise fuel
might leak out.
Before transporting between two loca-
tions, empty the fuel tank with a petrol
suction pump.
Do not empty the fuel tank indoors,
near fire or when smoking. Gas
vapours can cause explosions or fire.
