The display shows so successively
• odometer
• trip 1
• time and average speed for trip 1
• trip 2
• time and average speed for trip 2
• date and hour
• temperature inside the device (there's no exter‑
nal sensor)
• applied voltage
After switching on the instrument, it will perform
a self‑test: the hand rotates to the scale‑end and
back, the indicator lights are lit and the display

shows the MMB logo. After that the display jumps
to the indication mode that was selected before
switching off.

play: At 10‑second intervals, the normal indication

The red and red/yellow cables must each be fused
with 1 A.The black wire must have a proper connec‑
tion to the vehicle ground or negative wire. Please
check with ohmmeter if in doubt. The menu button
switches to ground (see previous step). The con‑
nected sensor must be a 12 V sensor if it is an acti‑
ve sensor. Passive reed sensors are not connected
to the red/white cable.
OEM motorcycle sensors are ‑ on many vehicles
from the mid 2000s on ‑ connected to the ECU (ig‑
nition and/or injection management). These sen‑
sors may not be disconnected from the ECU. If you
have such a sensor, the red/white and black/white
wires will not be connected. You will only hook the
orange wire from the speedometer to the sensor
signal wire via a Y‑connector.
As oil pressure sending units, neutral switches
and fuel tank reserve switches in general switch to
ground, the blue/green, gray and blue/black wires
need a minus signal, while white/orange and blue/
white for turn signal and high beam control need
+12 V.
