Operation
Remove the battery from the
device to prevent accidental
operation. Risk of injury!
Ensure that the ambient tem-
perature does not exceed
50°C or fall below -20°C du-
ring work.
Switching on and off
1. To start the device, press and hold the
safety switch (2) and press the on/off
switch (3).
2. To stop the device, release the on/off
switch (3).
Pressing the on/off switch automatically
activates/deactivates the dust blower
function.
Setting the rotational
speed
The desired speed can be regulated
steplessly using the selection wheel (5).
1: lowest speed
6: highest speed
Adjusting the stroke
strength
The pendulum motion of the saw blade can
be set on or off with the pendulum stroke
switch (9).
1 - no stroke
2 - stroke
Practice will determine whether sawing is
better with or without stroke; the following
settings are recommended:
30
• Fine and clean cutting edges can be
achieved with no pendulum motion
(level 1).
• For thin material, hard material (e.g.
steel) and for cutting curves, use level 1
also.
• Soft material (wood, plastic, etc.):
Set the pendulum to level 2.
With the pendulum stroke activated
you can work much faster.
Plunge cuts
Plunge cuts may only be made in soft ma-
terials such as wood, aerated concrete,
plasterboard, etc. However, this requires a
certain amount of practice and is possible
only with short saw blades.
1. Place the saw on the workpiece and
switch it on.
2. Make sure that the front edge of the
bottom plate rests on the surface of the
workpiece.
3. Slowly saw at an angle into the work-
piece, then bring the saw blade into a
vertical position.
4. Continue sawing along the cutting line.
5. Turn off the saw and lift it off the work-
piece after finishing work.
Sawing with the
cordless sabre saw
1. Turn on the device. Before switching
the device on, ensure it is not in contact
with the workpiece.
2. Place the footplate (12) on the
workpiece.
3. Cut with a uniform forward motion.
You can saw horizontally, diagonally
or vertically.
