SRS module not working properly
The SRS module is fitted on the welding positive contact between VITE2 of power board (56) and the output terminal
(3), it is only active when the "MIG SRS" process (1) is selected via the control panel.
The module consists of two MOSFETs (18), resistor (3), SRS control board (15) and fan (24) (see machine diagram).
Control board (15) on connector J1 receives 27 VAC from service transformer (54). INV board located on power board
(56) sends commands for managing SRS control board (15), which in turn controls MOSFETs (18).
FAN (24) TEST
□ SRS control board (15), connector J2 terminals 1(+) - 2(-) = +24 VDC approx., fan running, with switch (14) closed
and torch start (40) pressed:
Correct?
NO
■ Check the power supply voltages of the SRS control board (15), in particular the 27 VAC voltage on connector J1.
■ Check the cabling between the INV board on power board (56) connector J8 and connector J4 of the SRS control
board (15).
■ Replace SRS control board (15) and/or power board (56).
SRS PROCESS TEST
□ INV control board on connector J8 of power board (56) sends a command to connector J4 of SRS control board
(15) to manage the SRS module. The SRS control board (15) is mechanically secured to MOSFETs (18), which are
activated by the SRS control board during welding. The SRS process is operating correctly:
Correct?
YES

Difficulty striking the arc, the arc turns off immediately after striking
Unsatisfactory weld quality, wire speed not adjusted to the output current
The "Soft Start" and "Inductance" functions, available in the Service Functions menu (see Instruction Manual), can
make it easier to start welding.
Parameters included in (synergic curves) programs are obtained based on experience. Conditions may be optimum
for some operators while others may need to make slight changes. For this reason, the ratio between wire speed and
welding current can be adjusted (see Instruction Manual).
If it is difficult to strike an arc or weld despite careful setting of the parameters available on the control panel, it is
advisable to:
− check that the parameters selected reflect the actual current welding conditions;
− check how the settings work by performing some welding tests using different parameter set-ups or swapping
the working program for a similar program, if available, with the aim of identifying differences stemming from the
different set-ups in practice on the weld. If changing the set-up does not result in the respective adjustments or
there are problems with parameter selection, update the power source firmware to the latest version available on
the Cebora website (see section 2.4);
− check the power source is operating correctly by performing the "no-load operation" tests described in section
3.3.8 and the "operation on resistive load" tests in section 3.3.9;
− check the compatibility of the elements being used (torch, type of nozzle, wire type and diameter, gas type, etc.)
with the type of welding being done;
− check for wear on the torch and its components, and replace if necessary.
