4 TROUBLESHOOTING

WARNINGS
ANY INTERNAL INSPECTIONS OR REPAIRS MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL.
BEFORE REMOVING THE PROTECTIVE GUARDS AND ACCESSING INTERNAL PARTS, DISCONNECT
THE POWER SOURCE FROM THE MAINS AND WAIT FOR THE INTERNAL CAPACITORS TO
DISCHARGE (at least 1 MINUTE).

4.1 The power source does not start, LCD display off

MAINS SUITABILITY TEST.
No voltage at the power source input due to tripped mains protection.

Eliminate any short circuits on the connections
between the power cable, switch (10) and filter
board (7).
Make sure that terminals FS1, FS2 and FS3 on
the filter board (7) are not short-circuited with
each other or to earth. If short-circuited,
disconnect the wires coming from terminals
FSP1, FSP2 and FSP3 of the filter board (7) and
from terminals of the bridge rectifier (41) and
repeat checks. If the short-circuit is eliminated,
check that bridge rectifier (41), IGBTs (30) and
IGBT board (31) are intact and replace any
defective components. If the short circuit is still
present, disconnect the connections to FASTON
terminals LD1, LD2 and LD3S and repeat
checks. If the short circuit is still present,
replace filter board (7). If the short circuit has
been eliminated, the problem is with the
services board (6) and therefore it must be
analysed there (see services board paragraph
(6) )
Check electrical continuity between: points FS1,
FSP1 and LD1; points FS2, FSP2 and LD2;
points FS3, FSP3 and LD3; if it is not present,
replace the filter board (7).
