SPEED REACTION SIGNAL TEST
□ Panel board (47), connector J16, terminals 1(+) and 2(-) = +3 ÷ +12 VDC approx., with MOTOR TEST pressed (see
Instruction Manual). Keeping MOTOR TEST pressed, the voltage rises from the initial +3 VDC to +12 VDC (regard-
less of the selected welding program).
Correct?
YES
Normal operation.
ENCODER POWER SUPPLY TEST
□ Panel board (47), connector J8, terminals 1(+) - 4(-), voltage = +5 VDC..
ENCODER TEST
□ Temporarily disconnect, with power source off, J8 from panel board (47) and check resistance on terminals of flo-
ating connector disconnected from J8:
− terminals 1 - 4 = terminals 2 - 4 = terminals 3 - 4 = 20 Kohm approx.
If short-circuited, replace motor (11) and panel board (47). If >Mohm replace motor (11).

No-load output voltage incorrect

NO-LOAD OUTPUT VOLTAGE TEST
□ Output terminals 9(+) and 4(-) on power source = +63 VDC approximately, with start pushbutton pressed.
Correct?

TRANSFORMER T4 SECONDARY VOLTAGE TEST
□ Check the wiring between the VITE1(-) and VITE2(+) terminals on power board (56) and power source output termi-
nals (3) and (4) for short circuits or insulation losses to earth. If there are any loose connections, tighten them and
replace any damaged components.
Check the condition of the secondary diode assembly (see Fig. 2.3.1), the inductor L3 and its connections on
power board PCB (56) (remove power board ventilation tunnel (56) for inspection).
Check the condition of power transformer T4 on power board (56). Replace if signs of burning or deformation
are found.
Replace power board (56).
■ Check the wiring between VITE2 (+) and power source output terminal (3). Fit the SRS module in series between
these two points. Check the correct wiring between the parallel of MOSFET (18) and resistance (3) of the SRS mo-
dule (see fig. 2.3.1) and the two terminals VITE2 (+) and output (3)
■ Check wiring between J2 of INV board on power board (56) and J5B of panel board (47).
■ Check the INV board connections on connectors J7-J8-J9 of power board (56) are properly fastened and clean.
■ Check condition of inverter power components (U1, U2, U3, U4, etc.) on power board (56).
■ Replace power board (56) and/or panel (47).

■ Motor runs at maximum speed. check the Encoder wiring
between J8 of panel board (47) and wire feeder motor (11).
■ Make sure that there are no mechanical impediments blocking
motor (11).
■ Check the direction of rotation of the motor; if incorrect, rever-
se the wires on connector J16.
■ With the power source off, temporarily disconnect the termi-

nals of wire feeder motor (11) from connector J16 on panel
board (47) and check resistance between the motor terminals
that remain free. Correct value = 2 ÷ 4 ohm, approximately
(motor winding resistance). If 0 ohm (short circuit) replace wire
feeder motor (11) and check the efficiency of MOSFETs M1,
M2, resistors R130, R131, R134, R135 and diodes D12 and
D13 on panel board (47) (see connector map, section 5.4).
■ Replace wire feeder motor (11) and/or panel board (47).
