Preparing the storage over long periods is vital to avoid
problems and increase the service life of the generator.
Storage
Never store the generator with gasoline in the tank.
Depending on the region and storage conditions, the petrol
can deteriorate and oxidize, causing damage to the
combustion system, difficult start-ups and blockages
caused by the particulate filter tank.
If you have stored your generator with petrol on the tank,
please
follow
the
recommendations
considering the previous storage period:
Less than 1 month:
▪ Follow the usual procedure;
1month to 1 year:
▪ Take all the petrol out of the tank.
▪ Run the engine until it stops due to lack of fuel;
Over 1 year:
▪ Take all the petrol out of the tank;
▪ Run the engine until it stops due to lack of fuel;
▪ Change the oil;
▪ Remove the spark plug and put engine oil (5-10 cl) on
the cylinder.
▪ Pull the recoil starter to distribute the oil in the cylinder
and reinstall the spark plug;
▪ Pull the recoil starter slowly while feeling resistance. The
piston is rising and the intake and exhaust valves are
closed. Leaving the engine in this position will help
protect from internal corrosion.
Cleaning
Clean the generator thoroughly after each use. Careful
handling protects the machine and extends its service life.

Before changing the oil, find a suitable place to put the
used oil. Do not throw it in the garbage, do not dump it in
watercourses or leave it on the ground.
Local environmental regulations will give you detailed
information on how to proceed.
You can get information regarding the disposal of used log
