Entering rim data

If electronic recording is not possible, the wheel
data can also be entered manually (main page <F1>
or in program selection <F5>).

The electronic gauge arm is not required for
the balancing programs Alu2, Alu3 and Pax2
(ALUDATA®). Both measurement locations are
recorded with the vernier caliper.
1. Apply the electronic vernier caliper for rim distance
and rim diameter to the rim.

« The measurement location is indicated on the
monitor in accordance with the balancing program
selected.
« Storage of the position is confi rmed by an acoustic
signal and the position data are displayed.

The electronic vernier caliper can be used to record
rim diameters of up to 26". The data of wheels with a
rim diameter between 26" and 30" must be recorded
manually (main page <F1> or in program selection
<F5>).

1. Close the wheel guard.
2. Open the wheel guard.
« The measurement location is indicated on the
monitor in accordance with the balancing program
selected.
« Storage of the position is confi rmed by an acoustic
signal and the position data are displayed.
The individual values have now been read in and are
displayed on the monitor.
Refer to Section 10. if the values are not read in
automatically.
Measuring unbalance
A wheel can only be correctly balanced if all the
settings correspond to the clamped wheel.
Measurement can be stopped at any time:
$
Press <F1> (STOP).
$
Press the pedal downwards.
$
Open the wheel guard.
« The unbalance measurement commences
automatically.
« On completion of the measurement the masses
and positions of the balance weights are indicated
on the monitor.
« The wheel is automatically braked after the
measurement and stopped and fi xed in the correct
position for attachment of a balance weight.
