The MDS Lite and mini-dock provide connections for a printer and a DVD recorder or VCR. See
Figure 5. For specific information on using the DVD recorders, VCR, and printers, including warnings
and cautions, see the manufacturer's operating instructions.
8 Connecting Ultrasound System
1 Ensure that the mini-dock is connected to the system.
2 Connect the cables. See
• DC power cord (A)
• AC power cord (I)
3 If connecting system only, connect the system AC power cord (K) to a
hospital-grade electrical outlet.
To avoid the risk of electrical shock or injury, connect only accessories or peripherals
to the MDS Lite that meet the following requirements:
• Does not exceed two accessories or peripherals
• Is not the color and black-and-white printers
To avoid damaging the system, use only peripherals recommended by SonoSite
with the ultrasound system.
