10 Connecting Printer and DVD Recorder or VCR
1 Lock the wheels.
2 Insert security strap in middle slots, if necessary.
3 Move the device forward to allow access to the connectors, if necessary.
4 Ensure that the mini-dock is connected to the system.

• S-video cables (B) (B). Insert the ferrite end of the cable into the mini-dock.
• RS-232 cable (E):
• For Sony, attach DVD adapter (G2)
• For Panasonic, attach DVD adapter cable (G)
• AC power cord (I)
6 Connect system power cord (K) to a hospital-grade electrical outlet.
7 Fold excess cable behind the device, and insert the cables on either side of
column, using the grommets to secure cables, if necessary.
8 Tighten the strap.
Press the Setup key on the ultrasound system.
2 Select Connectivity.
3 In the Video Mode list, select the appropriate video format: NTSC or PAL.
4 In the Serial Port list, select DVD.
5 Restart the system to activate DVD connectivity.
Note: Because the bar code scanner, DVD recorder, and VCR require the same port
on the mini-dock, you can connect only one of these peripherals at a time.
1 Turn on the DVD recorder.
2 Press the Function key ( ) then V on the system.
3 Press Shift and Menu on the DVD recorder.
The DVD menu appears on the system.
4 Select Setup and then press Enter.
A help diagram is displayed on the screen indicating how to use the DVD
buttons.
5 From the Remote menu, select Baud Rate and 9600.
6 From the Remote menu, select Protocol and VTR1.
7 From the Picture menu, select Input Select and S-Video.
8 From the Connection menu, select TV System and NTSC or PAL.
9 Press Return on the DVD recorder to exit.
10 On the system, press the Function key ( ) then V to exit.
