45° tilt support/tool
The tilt supports are located at the
back of the articulator� This lets the
articulator be tilted back to less than
45°� The tool for the following functions
is located in the base of the articulator
frame�

Immediate side shift (ISS)
Loosen the locking screw and set the
ISS to the desired position�
Can be set from 0 mm to 1�5 mm
per side
General information & care instructions
Precision instruments such as articulators must comply with
the highest requirements� Therefore, the following instruc-
tions for use of these devices should be strictly observed�
– Regular inspection of the axis-ball-system and the condylar
path for contamination� This secures the accurate functiona-
lity of the articulator and maintains the smooth running of
the ball on the axis�
– Contamination that took place here, can be removed by eva-
poration� Subsequently blow dry remaining moisture�
– Under no circumstances may the articulator be put in an ext-
raction unit, pressure pot or ultrasonic bath�

Opening/closing the centric
To open the centric, move the swivel
arm up as far as it will go – this relea-
ses the centric� To close the centric,
move the swivel arm in the opposite
direction – this will again fix the condy-
les in place in a central position�

Setting protrusion/retrusion
To change either of these settings, first
loosen the locking screw on the block
underneath the top half of the articula-
tor�

Opening the centric
The condyles are no longer fixed and
the centric is released� The top half of
the articulator can be moved freely�

Protrusion can be set after loosening
the locking screw�
Can be set from 0 mm to 6 mm
– Use only cleaning agents that are suitable for the cleaning
of light metals and apply according to the manufacturer's
instructions� Cleaning agents, which have a pH value of
below 5 and above 8, may not be used, in order to prevent
damage to the anodised surfaces�
– Please, do not use a plaster dissolution, in order to prevent
damage to the anodised surfaces�
– For cleaning and care, please, use only the special care
spray (Art�-No� 12015)�
