FIRST USE

EN
1.
Remove all packaging materials and any transport safety devices. Keep pack-
aging materials away from children - danger of suffocation!
FR
2.
Before first use, we recommend cleaning the non-stick waffle plates with a
NL
damp cloth.
3.
Close the appliance and connect the plug to a wall socket (220-240 V~,
IT
50 Hz). The red control lamp lights up and indicates that the heating is
operational.
ES
Set temperature regulator to stage 4–5 and the preheating begins. As soon
PL
as the required temperature is reached, the control light switches off.
4.
Heat the appliance up for a couple of minutes without dough, in order to
eliminate possible manufacturing residues. Make sure the room is well ven-
tilated during this process. After the initial heating process the appliance
might show signs of wear, which do not affect its features and do not con-
stitute a reason for rejection.
5.
Before first use, slightly grease both waffle plates with heat resistant grease
like margarine, for example, using a pastry brush (as the waffle plates are
non-stick coated, greasing is only necessary before the very first use).
6.
The appliance may generate a slight smell when first using it, which is abso-
lutely normal.
7.
The first waffle should not be used and should be thrown away.

USING THE APPLIANCE

1.
Place the batter – best with a scoop – in the middle of the lower baking
plates. When the appliance is closed, the batter spreads out uniformly. If you
fill with too little batter, the upper part of the appliance does not lie properly;
the upper side of the waffle will then not become as brown as the lower side.
If you fill with too much batter, the batter runs out and soils the appliance.
2.
Close the appliance immediately after filling with batter, so that the waffles
will become equally brown above and below.
3.
A few seconds after the batter has been filled, the control lamp turns on; the
baking process begins.
4.
The desired degree of browning can be achieved with the continuously
adjustable temperature regulator. With a low setting, you obtain lighter and
with higher setting darker waffles. All degrees of browning are in the con-
tinuous intermediate range.
