6.4 Safety precautions
•
Before connecting the unit, check the plate details comply with the electric network (the plate is located in the rear side of the
tool) and select the right voltage if necessary.
•
This tool shall only be used for the aims it was projected for, i.e. for re-charging 20 cells NiMH batteries (2) only. Any other use
has to be considered improper and therefore dangerous.
•
Do not touch the unit with wet or dump hands or feet.
•
Do not use the unit with bare feet.
•
Do not leave the unit exposed to the atmospheric agents.
•
Do not allow children or untrained people to use the unit.
•
Before any cleaning and/or maintenance operations, disconnect the tool from the electric power network and from the electronic
card box (9).
•
In case of failure and/or wrong working, switch the unit off and do not disassemble it. For any repairing call the nearest
CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l. Service Point.
•
Operate at 40° temperature max.
•
Do not open the battery charger (21) container for any reason.
•
The battery charger is provided with a twin electric insulation and CE homologation.

- MAINTENANCE
7.1 Ordinary maintenance
WARNING!
•
Before any maintenance operations, switch the switch (8) in position 0.
•
All maintenance operations which are not foreseen in this manual shall only be carried out by Authorized Assistance
Points.
Ordinary maintenance operations can be carried out by the operators.
7.1.1 General
Before any maintenance:
•
Turn the ON-OFF switch (8) in position 0 off.
•
Wear protective gloves.
7.1.2 Blade sharpening
After the first ½ hour of use, re-sharpen the blade (16) with the stone supplied.
•
•
Every 3 hours of use, sharpen the blade (16) cutting edge slightly.
WARNING!
Blade (16) sharpening is one of the most important operations for assuring the shear good working. A well-sharpened
blade will guarantee precise clean cuts, low battery (2) consumption and low wear of the mechanical parts.
NOTE
The stone sharpening angle is 45°
7.1.3 Mobile blade adjustment
•
Tighten the screw (32) gradually until the blade works perfectly.
