INSTRUCTIONS AND TIPS
FOR CORRECT OPERATION
• The hopper container of the coffee grind-
er must always be filled with coffee.
• When grinding is altered (refer to para-
graph GRINDING ADJUSTMENT), we rec-
ommend grinding the equivalent of 1-2
coffees immediately afterwards.
• To obtain accurate doses with new grind-
ing blades, the trial period for the grinding
blades must have ended.

QUICK INSTALLATION
INITIAL INSTALLATION
• Connect the power cable of the XG / XGR
calibration plate to its connector.
• Attach the calibration plate to the bracket
on the coffee grinder.
• Pour coffee beans into the hopper. IM-
PORTANT: When performing calibration
operations, check that the hopper is at
least half full.
• Grind a little coffee in order to completely
fill and adjust the grinding chamber.
• Carry out a visual and tactile check of the
granulometry.
• Use the DOUBLE CUP button to enter the
SCALES menu.
• Remove the coffee collection tray, place
the coffee collection container in its hous-
ing and press the TARE button in order
to tare. IMPORTANT: When the scales
show the weight, the WEIGHT symbol ap-
pears under the value. Before the taring
or grinding process, always wait for the
WEIGHT symbol to appear.
• Grind about 7-8g (hypothetical value) of
coffee with an intermittent action.
• Pour the coffee into the filter holder cup
and make a coffee to test the granulom-
etry. If the result is not satisfactory, adjust
the granulometry and repeat the opera-
tion.
• IMPORTANT: Do not use the SCALES
mode to weigh any object other than the
coffee collection container and the coffee
that will be ground inside it.
CALIBRATION
• Press the DOUBLE CUP button to enter
CALIBRATION.
• Remove the coffee collection tray and
place the coffee collection container in its
housing.
• Confirm this by pressing the HAND but-
ton.
• When CALIBRATION has ended, confirm.
• IMPORTANT: during calibration do not
touch or shake the grinding blade other-
wise calibration will be incorrect.
• Press the DOUBLE CUP button to enter
GRINDING WEIGHTS.
• Set the weights for the single dose and
double dose.
• IMPORTANT: When the coffee grinder is
new, "GRINDING WEIGHTS" can only be
set after carrying out INITIAL CALIBRA-
TION.
• IMPORTANT: We recommend carrying
out CALIBRATION once a day, preferably
in the morning after making the first cof-
fees and having adjusted the granulom-
etry if necessary.
• IMPORTANT: Carry out CALIBRATION
when the grinding adjustment disk has
been moved.
RECOGNITION OF THE FILTER HOLDER
CUPS (only for XGR models) - RFID
In order for the coffee grinder-doser to
automatically recognise the single filter
holder cup from the double filter holder
cup, fasten the GREY grinding adjust-
ment disk to the handle of the single filter
holder cup, and the BLACK grinding ad-
justment disk to the handle of the double
filter holder cup.
