tions can be found accompanying the Jaguar Land
Rover Pathfinder software.

Reset JLR DOIP VCI
1. Disconnect JLR DOIP VCI from the power supply.
2. Wait for a minimum of 20 seconds.
3. Connect JLR DOIP VCI again to the power supply.

Recovery system software of
JLR DOIP VCI

As a result of a power failure or a communications
error during a software update, the JLR DOIP VCI
software may become corrupted. You may see sever-
al symptoms such as error messages directing you to
go to RECOVERY mode or an inability to connect to a
detected JLR DOIP VCI.
To restore the JLR DOIP VCI software you should:
1. Connect the JLR DOIP VCI to the PC using the sup-
plied USB cable.
2. Follow the instructions in the Jaguar Land Rover
Pathfinder software to prepare for recovery.
3. Press the left and cursor keys together for at least
4 seconds, to start the recovery process.

Troubleshooting
This section allows the user to troubleshoot any incor-
rectly operating JLR DOIP VCI devices. In addition, the
most likely cause for the condition is given as well as
other possible causes and recommendations on how to
isolate or eliminate the problem.
Error

Remedy
Connect the JLR DOIP VCI to a PC
using USB and perform the recovery
procedure.
R Check that the cables are securely
attached to the JLR DOIP VCI and
the connector pins are clean.
R Check the vehicle and diagnostic
connector cable for connection.
R Use another power supply - the ve-
hicle diagnostic connector or pow-
ering via USB.
R Verify power at the diagnostic con-
nector or connector cable.
