Ausziehen / Ablegen der MalleoLoc L
1. Öffnen Sie die beiden Klettgurte.
2. Ziehen Sie Ihren Fuß aus der Orthese heraus.
Reinigungshinweise
Das Einnähetikett der MalleoLoc L mit Informationen
zu Produktnamen, Hersteller, Waschanleitung und
CE-Kennzeichnung befindet sich auf der Innenseite
des oberen Gurtes.
Hinweis: Setzen Sie die MalleoLoc L nie direkter
Hitze (z. B. Heizung, Sonneneinstrahlung, Lagerung
im Pkw) aus! Dadurch sind Schäden am Material
möglich. Dies kann die Wirksamkeit der MalleoLoc L
beeinträchtigen.
Um die MalleoLoc L zu reinigen, öffnen Sie die Klett-
verschlüsse. Um Beschädigungen zu vermeiden,
kletten Sie die Enden auf dem Gurt auf. Wischen Sie
die Schale mit einem feuchten Tuch ab. Um das Pols-
ter der MalleoLoc L zu reinigen, kletten Sie es von
der Schale ab. Sie können dieses mit einem milden
Waschmittel separat per Hand waschen.

Entsprechend den Indikationen (Sprunggelenk).
Wartungshinweise
Bei richtiger Handhabung und Pflege ist das Produkt
praktisch wartungsfrei.
Zusammenbau- und Montageanweisung
Die MalleoLoc L wird gebrauchsfertig geliefert.
Zusammenbau der MalleoLoc L nach der
Reinigung:
Anbringen des Polsters:
Kletten Sie das Polster von Klettpunkt zu Klettpunkt
an die Kunststoffschale. Beginnen Sie an der Fuß-
sohle. Achten Sie darauf, dass das Polster immer
leicht über die Schale hinausragt und keine Falten
entstehen.
Anbringen der Gurte:
Beispielhaft wird die Montage der Gurte für eine
rechte MalleoLoc L beschrieben.
Legen Sie die Kunststoffschale mit der Sohle zu
Ihnen gerichtet und mit der Außenseite nach oben
(Polster nach unten) vor sich hin. Nehmen Sie
den oberen, kürzeren Gurt und legen Sie ihn mit
dem blauen Velours nach oben zeigend vor sich
hin. Fädeln Sie das durchsichtige Klettende in den
rechten der oberen drei Schlitze ein und durch den
direkt daneben liegenden Schlitz wieder zurück nach
außen. Kletten Sie diesen am Gurt fest. Nehmen Sie
das andere Gurtende, führen Sie es links in Richtung
des linken Schlitzes und stecken es von der Außen-
seite der Kunststoffschale hindurch.
Nehmen Sie den unteren, längeren Gurt und legen
Sie Ihn mit dem blauen Velours nach unten zeigend
vor sich hin. Stecken Sie das durchsichtige Klettende
von rechts in den Schlitz in der Mitte der Orthese von
oben ein und kletten Sie ihn am rechts liegenden Gurt
fest. Nehmen Sie das andere Gurtende und stecken
Sie es in die Öffnung in der Sohle.
Technische Daten / Parameter
Die MalleoLoc L ist eine Sprunggelenkorthese mit
zwei daran befestigten Gurten. Die Gurte und das
Polster sind abnehmbar.
Hinweise zum Wiedereinsatz
Die MalleoLoc L ist allein für Ihre Versorgung vor-
gesehen. Geben Sie die MalleoLoc L daher nicht an
Dritte weiter.

high-quality medical product.
Please carefully read through all of these
instructions for use because they contain
important information about the use, indications,
contraindications, application, care, and disposal of
your MalleoLoc L. Please keep these instructions
for use safe, as you may want to read them again
later. If you have any questions, please contact your
physician or medical retailer.
Intended purpose
The MalleoLoc L is an ergonomically shaped orthosis1
for stabilizing the ankle. The MalleoLoc L reduces
the risk of lateral twisting and effectively supports
muscular stabilization (thanks to the removable
pad). The MalleoLoc L can be individually tightened
using the adjustable Velcro straps. Thanks to the flat
design, you can wear this orthosis in outdoor and
sports shoes.
During the first fitting of the MalleoLoc L, the
support must be individually adapted to the patient
by a trained specialist² (orthotist). This is the only
way to guarantee the full effect and ideal wearing
comfort of the orthosis.
Indications
• Non-surgical treatment of ligament or joint capsule
injuries in the ankle
• Acute and chronic capsular ligament instabilities
• Injury prevention for chronic ligament instability
• Inflammatory and wear-related functional
impairments
Risks of using this product
Caution³
• The MalleoLoc L must only be worn in accordance
with the specifications contained in these
instructions for use, and the areas of application
listed.
• The use in combination with other products,
e. g. when wearing compression stockings as
part of compression therapy, must be discussed
beforehand with your physician.

• If you notice any unusual changes or your
symptoms get worse, stop using the MalleoLoc L
and please contact your physician without delay.
• No product liability is accepted in the event of
improper use.
• Do not make any alterations to the product. Failure
to comply with this requirement may adversely
affect product performance, thus canceling any
product liability.
• Side effects involving the body as a whole have not
been reported to date.
• Correct usage / fitting is assumed. Do not fit the
MalleoLoc L too tightly, as this could lead to local
pressure symptoms. In rare cases, constriction of
blood vessels and nerves may occur. If this happens,
loosen the straps of the MalleoLoc L.
• Do not allow the product to come into contact with
ointments, lotions, or substances containing grease
or acids.
Contraindications
No clinically significant hypersensitive reactions have
been reported to date. If you have any of the following
conditions, such aids should only be fitted and worn
after consultation with your physician:
• Skin disorders / injuries in the part of the body being
treated, particularly if inflammation is present.
Likewise, any raised scars with swelling, redness,
and excessive heat build-up.
• Impaired sensation and movement disorders of the
legs / feet (e. g. diabetes mellitus)
• Impaired lymph drainage, including soft tissue
swellings of uncertain origin in parts of the body
where the orthosis is not worn.
Application instructions
Putting on the MalleoLoc L
We recommend that hosiery should be worn under
the MalleoLoc L.
1. Sit down to put on the MalleoLoc L.
2. Loosen the upper and lower strap. The lower strap
remains threaded into the slot on the sole. Loosen
the lower strap so far that you can easily put your
foot through the loop you created.

3. Place your foot on the floor at a 90° angle to your
lower leg, as this is the best position for fitting
the orthosis. Now slide the affected foot into the
orthosis between the strap loop and the shell, so
that the shell sits laterally on the foot in front of
the lateral malleolus.
4. Using one hand, press the shell onto the foot so
that it sits flat against it.

Use the other hand to
guide the lower strap diagonally across the instep
by pulling from the outside of the foot (from the
shell). Fasten the strap at the lower Velcro triangle

. During this process, the side of the strap with
the blue velour must be attached to the blue plastic
shell.
5. Now wind the upper strap around the base of the
calf by pulling the strap slightly,

then fasten it.
6. Now guide the lower strap above the medial malle-
olus and around the back of the Achilles tendon,
returning it to the front of the foot of the affected
ankle. Fasten the end of the strap on the strap (the
Velcro area depends on the calf circumference).
7. Tighten both straps again, if necessary.

In the
event of increased sensitivity on the sole of the foot,
you have the option of removing the Velcro pad.
Taking off the MalleoLoc L
1. Open the two Velcro straps.
2. Remove your foot from the orthosis.
Cleaning instructions
The sewn-in label of the MalleoLoc L, which contains
information on the product name, manufacturer,
washing instructions, and CE mark, is located on the
inside of the upper strap.
Note: Never expose the MalleoLoc L to direct heat
(e. g. radiators, sunlight, in your car etc.)! This
may damage the material, which can impair the
effectiveness of the MalleoLoc L.
To clean the MalleoLoc L, open the Velcro fastenings.
Fasten the ends back onto the straps to avoid any
damage. Use a damp cloth to wipe the shell. To clean
the cushion of the MalleoLoc L, remove it from the
shell's Velcro. You can wash it separately by hand
with mild detergent.

Maintenance instructions
If handled and cared for correctly, the product is
practically maintenance-free.
Assembly and fitting instructions
The MalleoLoc L is supplied ready for use.
Assembling the MalleoLoc L after cleaning:
Fitting the cushion:
Attach the cushion to the plastic shell using each
Velcro fastening point. Start with the sole. Make sure
the cushion always protrudes slightly beyond the
shell, and there are no folds.
Fitting the straps:
The example below is for fitting the straps for the
right side MalleoLoc L.
Place the plastic shell in front of you with the sole
pointing toward you, and the outside pointing up
(cushion facing down). Take the upper, shorter strap
and position it in front of you with the blue velour
pointing up. Thread the transparent Velcro end into
the right-hand slot of the upper three slots, and back
to the outside through the slot immediately adjacent.
Attach it to the strap. Now take the other strap end,
guide it toward the left in the direction of the left slot,
and push it through the plastic shell from the outside.
Take the lower, longer strap and position it in front
of you with the blue velour pointing down. Insert the
transparent Velcro end in the slot in the middle of the
orthosis from the right-hand side and from above,
and attach it to the strap on the right. Take the other
strap end and insert it into the opening in the sole.
Technical specifications / parameters
The MalleoLoc L is an ankle orthosis with two straps
attached to it. The straps and the cushion can be
removed.
Notes on reuse
The MalleoLoc L is intended for your treatment only.
For this reason, do not pass the MalleoLoc L on to
other people.
Warranty
The statutory regulations of the country of purchase
apply. Where relevant, the country-specific warranty
regulations between the dealer and buyer apply.
Please first contact the retailer from whom you
obtained the product directly in the event of a poten-

tial claim under the warranty. Please do not make
any alterations to the product yourself. This particu-

larly applies to products that have been individually
adjusted by a trained specialist. Please follow our in-
structions for use and care. They are based on years
