1. Open the fuel cock and start the engine.
Leave the engine idling until it stops of its own
accord, so that the fuel is fully used up.
2. Remove the ignition key and cover the ignition
lock.
3. Remove the battery, i.e. disconnect the bat-
tery cable, and remove and store the battery.
See section "Starter battery".
4. Clean the ride-on mower.
CAUTION!
Danger of fire from dry grass!
Burning dry grass may injure
people and cause material da-
mage.
Remove build-ups of dry grass
around the engine and the silencer
particularly thoroughly, in order to
prevent a fire from dry grass when
the ride-on mower is started again.
5. Drain the engine oil; see section "Changing
engine oil".
6. Store the ride-on mower in a dry, well venti-
lated space protected from the weather. Pro-
tect it against unauthorised access. See also:
section "Storing the ride-on mower vertically".
Storing the ride-on mower vertically (19)
You can also store the ride-on mower standing
vertically on its rear panel against a wall. For this,
proceed as follows:
1. Remove the grass sack.

People may be killed through a ride-
on mower tipping over. Use two
people to position the ride-on mo-
wer, and fasten it to the wall using
a strong strap. Two people are also
needed to return the ride-on mower
to its horizontal position.
2. Use two people to position the ride-on mower
vertically on its rear plate, and to move it in to
the wall.
3. Secure the ride-on mower to the wall using a
strong strap.
